Windswept Frequently Asked Questions

We have put together some handy FAQs style guides for the following services. We hope you find them helpful.

Just head to our online shop and select the beers you would like. We have tried to make is as flexible as possible so you can build your own case to suit your tastes.

We offer 2 shipping options:

  1. UK wide with delivery charges starting at £4.95 for up to 24 bottles
  2. Free local delivery for certain IV postcodes. Min spend £20

Due to UK licensing laws, alcohol can only be sold to persons aged 18 or over. By ordering from us, you confirm you are at least 18 years old and that the intended recipient of the order is also at least 18 years old.

Our delivery partner may require the recipient to show proof of age at the point of delivery. Failure to produce proof of age may result in delivery being cancelled and any costs of attempted re-delivery will fall on the purchaser.

We live up in the Highlands of Scotland and we have tried to make our deliveries as cost effective for beer as possible. We will continue to listen to our customers and make changes if required.

Our charges are:
0 – 12 bottles or 1 mini keg = £4.95
12 – 24 bottles or 2 mini keg = £4.95
25 – 48 bottles or up to 4 mini kegs = £9.90

There are some exceptions – these include the following postcodes: BT, IM, TR21-25. We are so sorry but the surcharge is being levied by the delivery company not us!

Merchandise may be included in the box of beers depending on the size of your order. We currently don’t have an alternative delivery option for merchandise only orders. If this is something you are wanting to order then please get in touch by emailing

We are offering free home delivery for IV30, IV31, IV32 and IV36 postcodes. This option will show at check out once you have put your postcode. Please note we ask that your order is a minimum of £20.

For UK wide deliveries we ask that if you ordering beer, you take a minimum of 6 bottles  Being in the Highlands, we have to pay a delivery surcharge and we are paying for some of that to try to keep delivery costs down for our customers. In order to achieve maximum value on our delivery costs, we recommend ordering beer in multiples of 12 bottles.

For free local deliveries remember the minimum order of £20. If your order comes to less than £20 then this is no problem however the delivery will revert to our standard price of £4.95.

UK Wide deliveries are collected every Tuesday and Thursday. Orders need to be made the day before despatch.

For free local deliveries we deliver on a Thursday and we just ask you get your order in by 4pm on Wednesday.

Please let us know where you would like your order left if you are not going to be in. Please make sure it is a safe place. We want our deliveries to be non-contact so we won’t ask for a signature.

UK Wide Orders are shipped by ParcelForce on their Express48 service from our brewery in Lossiemouth, Scotland – this means that delivery should take 48 hours (usually two working days) however, due to our remote location, we cannot guarantee that you order will be delivered within this time frame as circumstances out with our control may cause slight delays within the delivery network. We therefore recommend that if you require your order to be delivered by a specific date, for example for a special occasion, that you leave at least 4 working days for delivery. In the event of a delay, you should receive a notification from ParcelForce via email or text message.

Yes for UK wide deliveries. When your order is dispatched, you will receive an email or text from ParcelForce containing tracking information for your order.

Unfortunately for local deliveries we are unable to provide this service.

We no longer offer our Click and Collect service because you can buy our beer in our shop in Lossiemouth. We introduced Click and Collect during Covid when lockdown measures were in place. However, now anytime you would have come to collect your order you can just drop by the shop and have it packed in front of you instead. Our in person shop has the same availability as our online shop, and sometimes they can even give you a taste or have the last few bottles of your favourite seasonal in stock!

If you need to cancel your order, please contact us asap by emailing or call 01343 814310 and we will endeavour to arrange cancellation prior to shipping.

Unfortunately if an order has already been booked for shipping or in transit, we will be unable to cancel it.

At the moment, we are unable to provide shipping out with the UK.

All prices include UK duty and VAT at a rate of 20%, unless otherwise clearly stated. Any delivery charges are additional to the unit price displayed.

Windswept Rewards is our loyalty points scheme. For more information then just head to our Windswept Rewards FAQs.  From time to time, we may run discount codes or special offers. Sign up to stay in touch or keep an eye on our social media for special offers. We reserve the right to terminate any special offer at any time, without notice.

All items are subject to availability. In the unlikely event that an item you’ve ordered is out of stock, we will contact you prior to shipping to discuss alternative products or refund options.

If an order is visibly broken on arrival, in the first instance we recommend refusing the delivery.

With Windswept Rewards you are able to earn points when you purchase products from our online shop. The points you earn can then be used as discounts on future purchases at our online shop..

You need to have Windswept shop account. You may have set one up previously if you have purchased from our online shop. If so, you are already part of Windswept Rewards and you can check your points total when you log in as well as earn and redeem points. For all existing accounts, we have put a few points in to your account just to say thank you and get you started.

If you haven’t an account you can set one up when you next purchase – just tick ‘create and account’ at check out or alternatively register on the My Account page. When you register we will give you some points just to get your started.

Windswept Rewards started on 3 July 2020 at 12 noon. Any purchases made after this date will be included, any purchases previous to this date will not be included.

All bottles, mini kegs, cases and merchandise earn points which you can see on each product page. As long as you have an account and you use the account details when you complete a purchase, you will be assigned points to your account (even if you are not logged in). Please note Gift Vouchers and Tap Room Booth Bookings are excluded from the scheme.

You can only earn points when you use our online shop

When you view your basket next time you shop with us, you will see your total points available as long as you are logged in to your Windswept Shop account. You will then have the option to redeem some, all or none of those points. It will show as a discount in the order total at the bottom.

Yes, our points will last for 365 days. We will email you 14 days before your points expire. 

It is up to you how you use your points. You can save them for a future treat or use some or all of them every time your purchase. It is up to you.

You can use a coupon or discount code with your points. The points earned will be based on the discounted value of your basket.

Your Windswept Reward points can not be exchanged for cash and are only for use on our online shop.

Your Windswept Reward points are non-transferable – that means you are unable to give them to someone else.

Your Windswept Reward points are only for use in our online shop.

To check your balance, you need to be logged in. You can either go to my account page and go to Windswept Rewards to check your balance or when you view your next shopping basket at our online shop, you will see how many points you have available to redeem.

If you have a problem with your Windswept Shop account then try resetting your password on the Lost Password page. As long as you use your email address that you registered your account with, you will be sent a new password.

Occasionally if you attempt to log in too many times with the wrong password you may get locked out.

We are happy to help sort out any problems you may have with your Windswept account however we can only do this during office hours, Monday – Friday 10am – 3pm. Just email us on

You don’t have to use your points at any time, however points are automatically added to your account. We will only update you with information regarding your Windswept Rewards account and will not share your data with any third party for marketing purposes.

Windswept Brewing reserve the right to amend or cancel Windswept Rewards. If this happens then Windswept Brewing will provide all registered customers with a virtual voucher to the amount of any points not yet redeemed for use in the online shop only.

You are welcome to book a booth in our Tap Room if you would like to guarantee a seat in your favourite spot – we have booths available inside our Tap Room, outside around the fire pit and outside under the covered beer garden.

You are also more than welcome to just pitch up if a spontaneous pint is more your thing!

Children are welcome at the Tap Room until 6pm. 

Well behaved dogs are welcome at the Tap Room but we do ask that you keep them on a lead.

We accept cash as well as card payments (VISA, Mastercard and Apple Pay).

We have 4 2 seater booths available around the fire pit that are partially covered, although please note that we are unable to put up the parasol when winds are high. The rest of our outdoor booths are permanently covered.

You will be asked for card details when making a booking but money is only taken if you do not turn up for your booking without telling us or cancelling your booking in advance. We reserve the right to apply a £5 fee for no-shows.

Yes of course. We just ask that you tell us at least 24 hours in advance. You can cancel your booking via the confirmation email, by emailing or calling 01343 814310. Please do not use our social media channels to cancel.

We can have up to 10 different beers available – the Windswept team on the day will let you know what we have on tap. We will also have our usual selection of soft drinks, gin, cider, whisky, wine and exciting cocktails. Hot drinks will also be available.
