We are proud to introduce LIGHTHOUSE, a 4.7% delicately balanced thirst quenching lager with subtle fruit aromas and clean malt flavours, perfect for just about any occasion.

Our Kolsch style lager is traditionally brewed with lager malt, classic German Noble hops and a top fermenting ale yeast.  For LIGHTHOUSE, we’ve used  Hersbrucker Hallertaurer hops which hail from Hersbruck, a small town in Bavaria, Germany which has been twinned with Lossiemouth since 1972.  It is fermented in stainless steel at 18-20°C for 4 days and then, in contrast to our other beers, it is cold conditioned (lagered) in stainless steel for a minimum of 4 weeks.

LIGHTHOUSE is named after Covesea Skerries Lighthouse, a local landmark situated 2 miles from the brewery.  The lighthouse watched over our shores around Lossiemouth and the Moray Firth from 1846 to 2012 when it was discontinued following the installation of a new buoy and radar beacon on the nearby Halliman Skerries.  The lighthouse is now a local tourist attraction and the original lens can be seen in the Lossiemouth Fisheries and Community Museum, both well worth a visit if you are in the area.

Available in 30L KeyKegs and 330ml bottles, and for a limited period in cask and 5L minikeg.
