ONLINE SHOP FAQs
How old do I need to be to order from Windswept Brewing Online Shop?
Due to UK licensing laws, alcohol can only be sold to persons aged 18 or over. By ordering from us, you confirm you are at least 18 years old and that the intended recipient of the order is also at least 18 years old.
Our delivery partner, ParcelForce, may require the recipient to show proof of age at the point of delivery. Failure to produce proof of age may result in delivery being cancelled and any costs of attempted redelivery will fall on the purchaser.
How much does it cost for delivery?
We live up in the Highlands of Scotland and we have tried to make our deliveries as cost effective for beer as possible. We will continue to listen to our customers and make changes if required.
Our charges are:
0 – 12 bottles or 1 mini keg = £6.99
12 – 24 bottles or 2 mini keg = £6.99
25 – 48 bottles or up to 4 mini kegs = £13.98
49 bottles and over or more than 5 mini kegs = £13.98
There are some exceptions – these include the following postcodes: BT, IM, TR21-25. We are so sorry but the surcharge is being levied by the delivery company not us!
Merchandise may be included in the box of beers depending on the size of your order. We currently don’t have an alternative delivery option for merchandise only orders. If this is something you are wanting to order then please get in touch by emailing email@example.com.
Do I need to order in case or multiples of 12 bottles?
We ask that you order a minimum of 6 bottles if you are buying a case of beer. Being in the Highlands, we have to pay a delivery surcharge and we are paying for some of that to try to keep delivery costs down for our customers. In order to achieve maximum value on our delivery costs, we recommend ordering beer in multiples of 12 bottles.
When will my order be dispatched?
We endeavour to dispatch orders the same day if placed before 9.00am, Monday-Friday.
Orders placed after 9.00am or on Saturday/Sunday will be dispatched the next working day.
How long does shipping take?
Orders are shipped by ParcelForce on their Express48 service from our brewery in Lossiemouth, Scotland – this means that delivery should take 48 hours however it is week day only deliveries.
Due to the volume of orders received and processed during the festive season, we may take longer to process your order – busy Christmas elves! We strongly recommend that those looking for delivery by 24 December 2019 complete their order by midday Wednesday 18 December. Orders placed after this time may arrive before Christmas, but we cannot guarantee they will.
In between Christmas and New Year, deliveries will only be collected on 27th December, 30th December and 3rd January. Normal deliveries will resume on 6th January. This will mean there will be delays on deliveries during this time – please bear with us.
Please contact us if you have specific requirements or concerns about distance shipping.
When will my order be delivered?
Deliveries are made Monday to Friday by ParcelForce. If you are not at home when the courier tried to deliver your parcel, you will find a missed delivery note in your mailbox.
On this note you will see options for collecting your parcel or for a second attempt at delivery.
Can I track my order?
