Over the years, Windswept Brewing have supported and participated in events hosted by local charity, Outfit Moray. We are now deepening this relationship further by pledging to donate to the charity 3 pence of every bottle of Lighthouse sold.

Outfit Moray, also based in Lossiemouth, provides outdoor adventures for young people in Moray particularly those who are vulnerable or disadvantaged.

Both Nigel and Al, Windswept owners, have a love of the outdoors and have tried to bring that alive with their ethos at the brewery of ‘Best When You’ve Earned It’. By supporting Outfit Moray, they are keen to help continue the charity’s outstanding work and give opportunities to others to benefit from their own outdoor adventure.

Working closely with schools, youth groups, other charities and agencies, Outfit Moray are able to offer adventurous activities such as canoeing, kayaking, climbing, coasteering, weaselling, mountain biking, paddle boarding, gorge swimming and archery to vulnerable and disadvantaged young people and their families. Windswept Brewing Company’s support will provide vital funds to enable the charity to continue delivering their comprehensive programme of activities which teach the young people new skills; building confidence through positive risk taking and encouraging new hobbies and a healthy outdoor lifestyle.

Lighthouse is a kolsch-style lager and a very popular beer in the Windswept range. It is named after Covesea Skerries Lighthouse, a local landmark situated 2 miles west of the brewery.
